Another great morning sharing the bar with Neil. I started failing at 175# for multiple reps. This is consistent with my C&J max, so I was glad to get there with as many reps as we did leading up to it.

Then… we went on to one of the hardest Crossfit WODs I’ve ever had the pleasure of participating in.

Death by the Minute:

  • 5 115# FS at the top of each minute
  • Max 70KBS swings for the rest of the minute
  • Stop when you get to 100 KBS (at RX’d weight)

I can’t remember when a workout left me this drained this quickly. By the 7th minute or so, I had to take an entire minute’s rest just to gain composure and try to attack at the start of the following minute. By the end of the WOD I had taken two rounds out to attempt to gain my strength back (and the will to continue). I finished somewhere around 14 minutes??? If my time is still on the board, I’d love to know what it was.

Thanks Jordan for counting reps and supporting my last few rounds. Also, Jordan witnessed what was a fairly awesome near drop of a 70# KB on my head. Those things are beyond comprehension.

2 pood is serious weight, but apparently the heaviest KB that is mass marketed in the US is 175#!
